If I wanted to be a National I would have joined the National Party!

The Lib's along with there National allies have managed to first sink then scuttle the Queensland Liberal Party this past weekend! Just goes to show you how cut-throat this mob is, they would rather destroy their own Political Party, than to participate in it's structural and financial reform.

They have turned my Party over to the National Party! I wonder what the Nationals will do when they find out that their Liberal poster boys have brought with them a massive QLD Liberal Party financial debt reported to be between $1 to $2 Million. I wonder then if the Nationals still want to be partners?

Intimidation and Payback - QLD Politics at it's Worst!

Apparently yesterday the Queensland Opposition Caucus in Brisbane met to discuss the upcoming merger convention at the end of July. In attendance were all State Parliamentary members from the Liberal and National parties. The Opposition leader informed the group that "Caucus members not supporting the coming merger would be dealt with in the most extreme manner".

Well that kind of intimidation is typical of LS and the National Party. They will complete this takeover by whatever means it takes! There is no room for conscience votes here, your either aboard on the merger or you will be cast a drift and stabbed in the back.

Liberal Parliamentary members with backbone and courage (only four remaining, now that the other four have made there bed with the devil aka The National Party) must stand-up for there right to choose without intimidation or bully boy tactics and tell the opposition leader to F. . k off!

I condemn these tactics as I do the coming takeover/merger as ill advised and the Liberal Party will deeply regret this action which will bring about it's eventual demise as a political party!

"iT'S NOT A MERGER, IT'S A TAKEOVER" The QLD LIB /Nat Merger

A takeover is what the Lib/Nat merger is all about. The Nationals taking over the Lib's. And what's so sad is the Lib's can't or won't ditch the process! This whole exercise is about one faction saving face after loosing control of the Qld Liberal Party at the June 2008 Liberal Party Convention.

They were unable to continue to hijack the agenda of QLD Liberal Party any longer, so the move was on to divert attention away from QLD Liberal Party's badly needed reform to a merger with the National Party.

These disenfranchised Liberal Members are working against the Liberal party while holding office on the State Council and assisting the Nationals with inside information on the merger to damage there own Party.

Go figure it out? They would rather scuttle the QLD Liberal Party than to stomach fundamental reforms to there own Party!

Qld Liberal Party Membership Renewal Disaster in the Making!!!!

Funniest thing, I never got one (a membership Renewal Form that is)? But what truly is upsetting, is that my wife who is an active dues paying member of the Qld Liberal Party didn't receive her membership renewal either. Now I know that I am fully on the Party Director's and General Secty. shit list, but my wife is just a stand-up dues paying member or at least she used to be.

Now you should know that Party Director and General Secty. are the ones mainly responsible (since that last Qld State Election) for the loss of at least 40% of the paying membership (My Estimate, I was unable to get these figures from the Party, but it's based on Leichhardt FEC figures which are even higher). Yet they still are unable to invoice the entire membership annually? And these individuals (I use that term very loosely) still have salaried jobs with the Party? Only in Australia is mediocrity and dereliction of duty so well rewarded .

Oh, yes from my insider reports have both contributed to driving the Party into debt to the tune of $1 to $2 Million.

I wonder if the Nationals understand what they will be inheriting? Not only general incompetence from paid QLD Liberal Party executive staff (which they will inherit), but out of control debt up to $2 Million or more!

All the National Party will be getting is $2 million of debt and a pack of front office thinking impaired individuals! I think under these circumstances the trade is even! The Nationals can have the stench of the QLD Liberals Party traitors!

Professor Ross Garnaut is the Left's New Chicken Little

I have to laugh at Prof. Garnaut's report to the Government (or the Sky is Falling Report) on Climate Change (It was called global warming, but because we are cooling off rather than warming it's now called Climate Change.) If we keep listen to joker's like Garnaut we will rapidly sink into a New Dark Age and the bleak future painted by the Loony Left. The Chicken Little syndrome is alive and well with the Loony Left here in Australia and around the world. Leading the charge to sink the sane and thinking world into a worldwide economic and social disaster. Remember there is no debate permitted regarding climate change. It is now considered by the Loony Left as fact. Who says so? What definitive proof does the Loony Lefty have, other than, yelling to the roof tops that the sky is falling? And I really don't think the sky is falling, do you?

I see a bright fantastic, exciting and wonderful future for the world and the Loony Left sees a bleak dark apocalyptic future for mankind!

So Prof. Chicken Little go back into your hole. Because most responsible scientist strongly disagree with your black opinions and so do I!

Happy 4th of July!

My second favourite holiday after Thanksgiving when I was a child was the 4th of July! I grew up in Los Angeles, California and the 4th of July was the kick off of Summer vacation as Labor Day in September signalled Autumn and back to school. 4th of July was truly a family holiday, I remember my brother and sister who were much older than me, would all make it back home for the family BBQ and the fireworks that night. Warm evenings and my father cooking burgers and hotdogs bring back warm memories and feelings of my childhood.

I don't think Australians can truly understand the how significant the 4th of July or Independence Day is to Americans! The holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. By declaring independence from Great Britain the signers had really signed there death warrants, because if they failed they would have been hung as traitors. Up until this time in history no country had ever declared it's independence from another country, it never happened before. The results of America declaring it's independence and winning the American Revolutionary War, has changed the World forever. So when you bump into an American today, wish him or her a happy 4th of July, because this day has deep significance to really all the people of the free World not just Americans!

Mt. Isa by the Sea is the Most Liveable City in Australia?

Some joker on the Win News last night has named Townsville the most liveable city in Australia or was it Queensland. I had to laugh, Townsville has always been described here in Cairns as "Mt. Isa by the Sea", and how it got to be the most liveable city in Australia or Queensland is beyond even my imagination. I guess that person has never been to Cairns. There is just no comparing the two cities, Cairns is far and away the greater city in all regards...............most liveable, weather, sophistication and beauty. I checked my calendar to see if it was April 1st and it's 4 July!

Why bother having a Constitution in the First Place?

The 2007 Queensland Liberal Party Convention was set for 30 Nov. and 1 & 2 Dec 2007. Then the unexpected happened (Not Really) a Federal election on 24 November 2007 was called and the especially disastrous outcome for the Liberal Party in Queensland. Someone was going to be blamed and a convention one week after the election left the Party President, his VP and State Director vulnerable, so they decided that they would postpone the Convention and gain six months of additional unelected & unaccountable control and factional payback, anyway no one would know the difference. There was one small problem they had to figure out how to circumvent the Party’s constitution.

The grand scheme was just to ignore the constitution! But one big problem: Page 51, Section 109 of the Constitution states: "Members “SHALL” meet in each calendar year on a date to be fixed by the State Council". No approval for the June 2008 convention date was ever given by State Council and shall means there will be a convention every calendar year! This decision was in the pattern of all great dictators and I know I was there and the State Council was never consulted by the Troika for an approval of the convention change (Which the State Council had no authority to do anyway). In fact any change to the constitution could only be made by a constitutional convention not by a State Council motion! BUSTED!!!!

When questioned the Troika said, “no vote was needed by the State Council just that it was decided on in Management Committee and no debate was needed!” And this is how abuse of power was perpetuated, by an unelected rabble. The others on the State Council stood by and allowed this abuse to continue without questioning the wrong, but going along as good little sheep!

My investigation has uncovered that as of 1 January 2008, since no annual convention was held in 2007, the then current Six from the Floor members, the President and all Vice Presidents rendered the State Council moot and constitutionally able to conduct party business or act on any Party matters until a convention was held and elections properly conducted. This information was known to all members of the State Council which they ignored and failed to act.

Why?




Because of this abuse of the Party’s constitution by the former State Council all decisions, votes and motions that had been conducted by the former State Council from 1 January 2008 to 29 May 2008 are not binding and fully unconstitutional. Any Party members abused during that period should be apologised to and reinstated if membership was lost or suspended.


I call upon the new QLD Liberal Party President Mal Brough to do the right thing and reverse all State Council actions and votes (during the aforementioned period) as unconstitutional and non-binding and to restore all membership rights back to all suspended or expelled members!

Also to dismiss both the the State Director and General Secretary for malfeasance!

Mugabe and the African Union

Amazing the tyrant walks into the meeting hall in Egypt and is welcomed and seated at the African Union's conference. This is equivalent to Hitler be welcomed and embraced in Israel! This guy (Mugabe) is a just a bad news murdering bottom feeder and deserved a Mussolini's style fate! I am very disappointed in the world's disinterest in bringing about a fair, open and transparent democratic government to Zimbabwe! The world is doing the same thing it did in Cambodia...........NOTHING! And you remember the fate of the poor unfortunate Cambodian people! Shame on the UN and the African Union. And what of the inaction of KRudd and the seemingly lost Australian Foreign Affairs Minster Smith, the procrastinating is laughable!

DO SOMETHING ANYTHING PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Cut off all political and economic relations with Zimbabwe and withdraw are diplomats and kick out there's!

We do have allot in common regarding issues where basic rights and common sense is lacking, so I read and enjoy his blog everyday and suggest you do as well.

The Demise of the Democrats

July first and does anyone miss the Democrats? They hung around the senate for 31 years and there only real contribution was the vote by then leader Meg Lees to allow the GST to pass the Senate for the Government! Meg Lees will be missed, she had wisdom and courage, but unfortunately had to lead a rabble which included Natasha Stott-Despoya and Andrew Bartlett. Stott-Despoya took up space and a tidy superannuation payout that you and I have paid for. Did you know she had never held a private sector job since leaving University! I really think before anyone joins that young, they should be required to work in the private sector at least five years. How would she have clue how the average Australian has to struggle with the day to day problems of life? Thanks to people like Stott-Despoya and Andrew Bartlett, the Democrats became moot and the Nation moved on without them. These people are a good example of when ideology substitutes for substance!
