Good morning!

How bad is this Labor government? Well all most as bad as the Obama Socialist government in the States, we are just the junior partner!  Interesting how Obama plays the race card every time he's asked to be accountable for his reckless actions and Julia does the same when she has the heat turned on and backed into a corner and plays the gender card, blaming Tony Abbott for her blunders!

The next federal election will be fought exactly on the same lines as the US election was fought:

1.  Gender
2.  Sexism
3.  Smear
4.  Hate
5.  Scare tactics
6.  Lies

I look forward to seeing if the Australian voter is as easily manipulated and deceived as the American voter.  It seems to me that the Western democracies are all going down the "One World" Socialist/Communist road lead by the UN.  I certainly hope we Australians are smart enough to see that this is a dead end road and can only lead to economic and social devastation!

The next federal election should be fought on the the failed immigration policy, taxes and spending!  Leave the dogma and hate out of the equation

Well over the last two years I have gotten very angry about the state of the world and especially the Australian Labor government and their nonsense, lies and general bullsh-t!

So welcome back me!

I think the idiot Flannery is the one on the Left!!

We are going to be taxed billion & billions of dollars and Tim Flannery speaking for the government when asked by Andrew Bolt today on MTR radio says:

"global temperatures are not likely to drop for about a thousand years"

Here;s the transcript:

"Bolt: Everyone understands that that is the argument But we’re just trying to get basic facts, without worrying about the consequences - about what those facts may lead people to think. On our own, by cutting our emissions, because it’s a heavy price to pay, by 5 per cent by 2020, what will the world’s temperatures fall by as a consequence?

Flannery: Look, it will be a very, very small increment.

Bolt: Have you got a number? I mean, there must be some numbers.

Flannery: I just need to clarify in terms of the climate context for you. If we cut emissions today, global temperatures are not likely to drop for about a thousand years."

And after 1000 years what will be the drop in world temperature?

Flannery: It’s going to be slight.

This whole Carbon Dioxide Tax crap is just another lie by Julia and a very large Labor rip-off! You idiots out there that voted for these morons should try and have your Lobotomy's reversed ASAP!

And that's The Northern Truth!!

FCUK you very much Gary!

TONY Windsor claims he supports action on climate change. Why then did he sell his farm to Werris Creek coal? Interesting?

MP not really looking after his electorate

TONY Windsor claims he supports action on climate change. Why then did he sell his farm to Werris Creek coal?

He has now sided with a government that supports a new mining tax and a carbon tax that will directly effect jobs and livelihoods at that mine in his electorate.

He’s OK. He’s got his money.

He deserves to be considered as nothing more than a money-driven opportunist.

I am sure the people of New England will make their judgment at the next poll.

Julia Gillard’s last claim to the Prime Ministership has just crumbled after yesterday’s vote count.

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Date 31/08/10

Julia Gillard’s last claim to the Prime Ministership has just crumbled after yesterday’s vote count.

Tony Abbott argued last week for the three rural independents to hand government to the Coalition on the basis the bottom line is last weekend’s election produced half a million more votes for the Coalition than for the Labor Party.
Meanwhile, Julia Gillard’s argued for the three rural independents’ to hand government to Labor on the basis that the Labor Party is the political party that received the biggest share of the two-party preferred vote.
Gillard’s argument just imploded. In fact, her argument now means that the independents have no moral alternative to making Abbott Prime Minister.
After yesterday’s vote-counting, Abbott can claim not only the most seats won and the most votes, but also the biggest share of the two-party preferred vote:
Australian Labor Party 5,342,795
Liberal/National Coalition 5,344641
So the independents must now consider the following facts.
The Coalition:
- won the most votes
- won the most seats, 73 to 72
- won the most votes, after preferences
- won the most support in the three independents’ seats, as measured by the Senate vote
- won the most support in the three independents’ seats, as measured by two polls since the election.
For the rural independents to now support Labor instead of the Coalition would be to defy the wishes of not only their own constituents but of Australia’s voters. It would also defy the very argument Gillard herself gave for deciding the winner.

Kind regards

Telstra becomes first to offer HSPA+ at 42M bps

Special thanks to James Mackie, Microsoft Certified Professional for this article!

Mon Aug 30, 2010 10:58am EDT

Australian mobile network operator Telstra has become the first operator to launch a mobile broadband service using HSPA+ at 42M bps (bits per second), it said on Monday.

The 42M bps performance is only theoretical, however: users can expect "typical download speeds ranging from 1.1M bps to 20M bps," according to Telstra, while the manufacturer of the HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access+) equipment, Ericsson, said users can expect peak speeds of up to 30M bps.

To get to 42M bps from 21M bps, the fastest theoretical speed operators could offer using previous HSPA+ equipment, modem and mobile network vendors are implementing a technology called dual carrier, which allows networks to send and receive wireless data using two channels simultaneously.

The roll out of HSPA+ using dual carriers is held back by the availability of modems. Telstra has managed to get its hands on 2,000 Sierra Wireless modems based on a chipset from Qualcomm. Telstra will sell them to its business customers under the "Ultimate USB Modem" brand, and expects to offer the modem more widely later this year.

Other operators are also planning to launch mobile broadband services using HSPA+ at 42M bps, but are still waiting for modems. Recently, Peder Ramel, CEO at 3 Scandinavia, said he is expecting the first modems to arrive sometime in the fourth quarter.

Telstra's Ultimate USB Modem can be purchased with a number of different mobile broadband plans, including paying nothing up-front if they commit to a A$69 (US$62) monthly plan for 24 months.

Are the Greens about to turn red?

Monday, August 30, 2010

From Quadrant magazine 29 August 2010

The end of Bob Brown?

by Merv Bendle

August 29, 2010

Watermelon politics: Are the Greens about to turn red?

It has been revealed that the new Greens MP for Melbourne, Adam Bandt, was a communist and a member of an extreme left party during his time as a student activist at Murdoch University 15 years ago. The disclosure illustrates the extent to which the Greens are serving as a parliamentary Trojan horse for the old-style far-left in Australia, which is using ‘entryism’, the classic strategy of extremist parties, to infiltrate its cadres into more mainstream parties in order to re-direct their policies in an extremist direction.

The revelation follows the election to the Senate of Greens candidate, Lee Rhiannon, the daughter of long-term Stalinists, Bill and Freda Brown. All three were leading members of the Communist Party of Australia until they all resigned in 1970/1 in a protest against the CPA’s refusal to support the Soviet Union’s invasion of Czechoslovakia and its bloody suppression of the ‘Prague Spring’ that attempted to introduce democratic reforms in that Stalinist state. Instead they joined the Socialist Party of Australia, which continued to follow the Moscow line as it continued its crackdown on dissidents during this critical period in the Cold War. Ms Rhiannon (then O’Gorman) then edited Survey, the SPA’s journal, until it went out of business when the Soviet Union collapsed and funding for such publications disappeared. For the past eleven years she has been a member of the NSW Legislative Council, and it has been observed of her that “not much has been said by her on Green issues, but she has spent a lot of time talking about issues not dissimilar from those she campaigned for when she was an active member of the Stalinist Socialist Party.”

Her election to the Senate also raises the question of just who will shortly be leading the Greens. On election day an article in The Australian observed that “a power struggle is developing between Bob Brown loyalists and the Tasmanian Greens and the hard-left NSW party and its lead Senate candidate, Lee Rhiannon, a scion of one of Australia’s most unapologetically pro-Soviet families”. Now that Rhiannon has been elected and the Greens have secured a pivotal position in the Australian political system it appears that a move may be made by the ‘entryists’ in the Greens to seize control of the party and exploit its role as a vehicle for the far-left anti-capitalist, anti-democratic policies of a type indistinguishable from those of the old-style Stalinist left. It is therefore significant that the “NSW Greens are exempt from parts of the party constitution dealing with conduct in public office,” which may have constrained any attempt to destabilize the existing leadership and seize control of the party.

Bandt described his own hard-left political position in a paper circulated online on 4 March 1995, declaring himself for “an anti-capitalist, anti-social democratic, internationalist movement.” He identified himself as “a member of Left Alliance, the national organistaion (sic) of feminist, socialist and progressive students, in Australia. We intervene into student organiations (sic) and campaigns (sic) … We are democratic centralists, in that we are all bound by the decision of the group and our coordinating committees are then bound to carry this out. We have different tendencies in the organisation, as the name suggests, ranging from communists to radical feminists to anarchistst (sic) to social democrats.”

Addressing the question of how a party on the extreme left can best influence government policy Bandt argued in an entryist fashion as follows: “Supporting the Greens would perhaps be the most effective strategy at the next election. The Greens are in many ways bourgeois, but they have been able to exert influence over the Government’s agenda. They are all we have at the moment [and] building a ‘new’ party simply to get votes can be absurd”.

Facing a threatened leadership challenge from the similarly hard-left NSW Greens, the current Greens leader, Bob Brown, said that he supported Bandt “160 per cent” and that “there was absolutely no need for Mr Bandt to publicly distance himself from his remarks”. Bandt has however echoed his earlier views in a recent address to the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne, where he also made it clear that he embraced the far-left agenda on contemporary issues, including illegal immigration and climate change eco-apocalypticism.

It may be that Brown is approaching his ‘use-by’ date, as the entryists seize their opportunity. As even Paul Howes, the National Secretary of The Australian Workers’ Union, has observed:

Unfortunately for Brown … his party is being infiltrated by many whose commitment to the environment is questionable, and who are more focused on turning the Greens into a left-wing, socialist-style party … That will mean for many voters, when they think they are casting a vote for the environment, they will, in fact, be voting for many issues that they may not support and be completely unaware of.

The Green’s have been using the slogan ‘The future is Green’ but if Rhiannon is successful, truth in advertising laws may require them to amend it to ‘The future is red’.

It is a measure of the looming threat to the Greens from the hard-left that Ms Rhiannon and Mr Bandt can even make Bob Brown look like a moderate!

G_d help us if these nuts get any power whatsoever!

Dear Lance,

I note you have reproduced a note that is purported to be a transcript of an interview between myself and Alan Jones.

I have been re-sent this by several people.

I note a couple of things about the transcript, which I feel has been reproduced incorrectly, though there is no doubt that it is close to a conversation we have had on several occasions.

1) I don't recall calling Kevin Rudd Chairman Rudd ... it's not my language.

2) And much more important: For whatever reason, the person circulating this email has deliberately or mistakenly left out a vital decimal point. The calculation for annual repayments on a $200 billion loan is $15.4 billion, not $154 billion. Big difference.

3) I have re-done the calculations in the past week, based on the latest forecast of Fed Govt debt by the RBA Governor Glenn Stevens. He says 10% of GDP, which is about $130 billion. Over a 10 year term (the Govt has said seven, but let's make it 10) with a 5.5% 10 yr Govt bond rate, the repayments are $16 billion a year.

So that is the truth of the maths

Regards, Ross Greenwood
